Who cares anyway ......

The city came to a standstill on Thursday afternoon with hordes of Trinamool Congress supporters choking the streets and even Howrah bridge to protest the high court’s decision to grant bail to Suhrid Datta and Debu Malik, who are accused in the Tapasi Malik murder case. Fifteen flights were delayed as passengers stuck in the road blockade frantically called up airlines.
The blockades were to last five to 10 minutes, but continued for nearly an hour at many places, triggering massive jams. In the districts the situation was worse, with roadblocks coming up before the scheduled time. Kol
kata Police avoided any showdown with the Opposition party, except at Chingrighata — to ensure that the chief minister’s convoy passed smoothly. Seventy Trinamool supporters were arrested here to clear a path for the CM to attend a programme at a hotel off EM Bypass. The rest of the route till his Palm A
venue residence was also kept free of demonstrators.
“I was stopped at Chingrighata and then again at
Lake Town. Had the police informed people about blockades, I would have taken the Rajarhat road,” said Amitava Chandra, who almost missed a Mumbai-bound flight.
Howrah bridge and the Moulali and Hazra crossings were the worst hit. The main gate of RG Kar Hospital saw terrible jams. Traffic was stuck bumper to bumper at Girish Park, Manicktala, Beadon Street, Amherst Street, Park Street-Mullickbazar, Park
Circus seven-point crossing, Gariahat, Gol Park, Dhakuria, Prince Anwar Shah road-EM bypass connector, Exide, Beliaghata, Ultadanga, Dorina crossing and Esplanade.
At Howrah bridge, commuters were
forced to walk down the entire length as protesters squatted on the road. The bridge was blocked five minutes earlier than scheduled time and continued for 45 minutes with protesters showing no concern for commuters.
“We were very scared when the rallyists rushed towards the bus. They shouted at us to get down. Police did nothing to help us,” said Manoranjan Santra, a Bagnan resident on her way to BBD Bag.
Little does Mamata understand that, she generates so much of hate towards her party by doing this. Little does she realize that people have things to do, unlike her. Sick have to be taken to hospitals, school children are waiting outside their schools for hours, wondering when their parents will reach to pick them up, college students going for interviews, the elderly sweating it out in packed busses, going to the airport or station.
But who cares anyway. Anyone can hold this City to ransom. Just hold a flag and stand in the middle of the road. She will never realise this unless she sits on the hot seat. The more i sthink, the more i believe that we all should enmass vote her and bring her to Writers building. Once she has to run the administration with her band of thugs, she will realise 'hopefully' how easy it is to create lawlessness. The only way to end her nonsense is to make her the CM and within two years she will be driven out and banished from bengal. Anyways nothing will ever happen to bengal, so what difference it makes, if Left wins of Trinamool-Congress wins. Give her a chance to get rid of her nonsense.
