Trinamool Hits Below The Belt

The TOI today carried a report on how the political parties have put up gory hoardings across the city showing the picture of the charred body of Tapasi Malik and mutilated bodies of Nandigram victims. CPM is no saint either. They have also put up one hoarding showing men wearing saffron chaddars threatening a man pleading for his life and another one showing a rioter holding a sword above his head in glee.Have we not seen enough of these in TV, Print, etc that we need to be reminded and in this fashion, before the polls. The CPM has also been allegedly circulating cd's showing the graphic of Tapasi's murder.

This is an extremely sorry state of affairs of our state. We were supposedly known as the 'Bhadralok's'. Where has all the essence of our culture, literature, arts gone. What will i tell my daughter, when she will ask me as to why is this hoarding put up? These people are no less worse than the Modi's, whom they keep lambasting.

But for me, i do want Calcutta of 60's and 70's back. Is there any party who can get the city back to its glory (and not gory) days. Not in the horizon.... (sic .. our destiny)
